Museums in Krakow - days of free admission

Did you know that many of Krakow's museums can be visited for free?! If you are staying in Krakow for a longer period (or if you live here), it's worth knowing which days of the week and which museums offer free admission. However, keep in mind that tickets often need to be reserved in advance, especially for popular places.

Monday

Monday is a bit unlucky if you're visiting Krakow and want to visit museums - many of them are simply closed on Mondays. However, there are a few museums that not only can be visited, but also offer free admission on this day. One of the more interesting attractions is the opportunity to climb the Town Hall Tower on the Main Square in Krakow.

Tuesday

Tuesday is the day with the most free attractions - there are really plenty of options to choose from, making it difficult to decide! First and foremost, Tuesday is the day of free admission to the Undergrounds of the Main Market Square (tickets need to be reserved in advance) and all branches of the National Museum in Krakow, including the Czartoryski Museum, where you can see Leonardo da Vinci's "Lady with an Ermine"! The Polish Aviation Museum is also very popular among children.

Wednesday

On Wednesday, we can visit the Jagiellonian University Museum in Collegium Maius for free, where we will see, among others, astronomical instruments from the time when Nicolaus Copernicus studied at the university, Rydl贸wka - a historic manor house where the famous wedding described by Stanis艂aw Wyspia艅ski took place, and the Hipolit House.

Thursday is a day of free admission to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Podg贸rze. Another interesting option is the Dominican Museum:
