Are you looking for a route for a family trip to the mountains? Perhaps this will be your child's first mountain hike? It's worth choosing a trail that is not too demanding (to not discourage the child), but at the same time attractive and scenic enough to leave wonderful memories and encourage further mountain trips.
Easy mountain trails for children? We recommend Gorce!
Gorce is a range of the Beskids with forested, gentle slopes and numerous picturesque meadows (in spring, there are plenty of crocuses and anemones here). Gorce also offer beautiful panoramas, including the majestic Tatra Mountains.
Trails in the Gorcza艅ski National Park and its surroundings offer a variety of options for mountain hikes, tailored to our abilities. Here, you can also find easy and short trails, and even ones where you can take a baby stroller.
Gorce: the easiest trail in the mountains
By far the shortest mountain trail in Gorce is the trail to Maciejowa from Jasionowa. It's only 2 km long with an elevation gain of less than 200 m. At the summit, we will find the PTTK Mountain Hut on Maciejowa, offering delicious snacks and small souvenirs for young hikers. Of course, there are also expansive scenic meadows, perfect for a family picnic. On a clear day, we can even admire the Tatra Mountains from here.

To Maciejowa from Rabka Zdr贸j
Slightly longer and slightly more challenging is the trail to the PTTK Mountain Hut on Maciejowa from Rabka-Zdr贸j. However, there will be more walking through fields and meadows than through the forest:

Gorce: easy trail - loop with two mountain huts
After reaching the Mountain Hut on Maciejowa, don't want to go home yet? We suggest a loop of trails connecting two mountain huts: on Maciejowa and on Stare Wierchy. This can be an interesting full-day family trip with two longer stops at the huts:

Forest walk and picturesque meadow with views
An interesting proposal for an easy mountain walk in Gorce is the educational path of Dolina Gorcowego Potoku. We mainly walk through the forest, but along the way, we encounter two beautiful and scenic meadows: the famous Polana Podska艂y and Polana Pod Jaworzynk膮 with a view of the Beskid Wyspowy.

The easiest route to Turbacz - chairlift from Koninki
Do you want to conquer the highest peak of Gorce and see the famous panorama of the Tatra Mountains from the hut on Turbacz? We recommend using the chairlift from Koninki to Tobo艂贸w. Then, only about 7 km with an elevation gain of 450 m will remain to be hiked. The ascents to the peaks of Obidowiec and Turbacz will be a bit demanding (= steep), but these are short sections. Most of the hike is on a wide ridge path:

Mountains with a stroller? It's possible in Gorce!
Is your child still too young to independently explore mountain paths, and do you want to take a break from carrying a carrier? We suggest an easy walk through Dolina Kamienicy Gorcza艅skiej. Here, you will find a comfortable, wide path and attractions: ponds with amphibians, beaver "sculptures," bridges, and rocky beaches along a wild mountain river.

Mount Wd偶ar with a stroller and a small child
On the border of Gorce and Pieniny, there is an extraordinary mountain with an equally unusual name: Wd偶ar. You can reach its summit in many ways: by a funicular or by walking on a wide, comfortable road - a stroller with large wheels will also do the job! The route is short and easy, and the views are truly "mountainous"!
