The educational trail "Dolina Gorcowego Potoku" in the Gorczanski National Park is a great idea for a short, easy mountain hike with scenic meadows. The trail, marked with slanted green signs, takes us through 10 stops and loops back to the Trusi贸wka parking lot in the Kamienica Gorcza艅ska Valley.
Dolina Gorcowego Potoku - Trail Start
The educational trail starts and ends at the border of the Gorczanski National Park, at the Trusi贸wka meadow. There are paid parking lots accessible from road 968. You can also leave your car at the large parking lot near the blue trail to Gorc >>> / to the Kamienica Gorcza艅ska Valley >>> - then you can reach the educational trail via a wide road along the river in about 30 minutes (1.5 km).
The first half of the trail is a walk through the forest. We climb the wooded slopes of Jaworzyna. Yes, we are going uphill, but quite gently, without long steep ascents.
Attractions of the Dolina Gorcowego Potoku Trail
The Dolina Gorcowego Potoku educational trail consists of 10 points with informational boards, where you can learn many interesting facts about the region's nature, Gorc traditions, and mountain climate. Along the way, there are several benches and tables.
The main attractions of the trail are the two scenic meadows.
Podska艂y Scenic Meadow
First, we will come across the expansive and scenic Podska艂y Meadow with preserved shepherd's huts:
Polana pod Jaworzynk膮 - Views
After walking through a gentle forest path along the ridge of Jaworzyna (1026 meters above sea level), we will reach the Polana pod Jaworzynk膮 with a beautiful panoramic view of the Beskid Wyspowy range (with the prominent Mogielica peak):

From the Polana pod Jaworzynk膮, we descend quite steeply through the forest (including wooden steps) to the entrance point of the trail, which is the Trusi贸wka Meadow.
Dolina Gorcowego Potoku Trail - Practical Information
- There are no gastronomic points or mountain huts near the parking lot or along the trail, so bring your own food.
- The trail is located within the Gorczanski National Park. Entrance tickets are required, and dogs are not allowed.
- If you want more views, we recommend taking the yellow trail from Polana Podska艂y to another meadow: Gorc Troszacki. This will add an additional 1 hour (2 km) one way, and you will be rewarded with a panorama of the Tatra Mountains! Please note that there will be a steep ascent through the forest, with an additional 250 meters of elevation gain.
