Where to Go Cycling with Kids in Krakow?
You don't necessarily have to leave the city to have an interesting family bike trip. Especially since going on a bike trip - whether by car or train - is not easy.
The Best Bike Routes in Krakow for a Family Trip
1. Along the Vistula River to Nowa Huta
The comfortable, asphalt Vistula river embankments on the left bank stretch all the way to Nowa Huta - just climb the stairs near the bridge on Aleja Pokoju over the Pr膮dnik River. This part of the embankments is more intimate and less crowded. We can ride here to the renovated 呕eromski Park, and if we feel like taking a longer trip, we can make a loop around 艁膮ki Nowohuckie.

2. Route around 艁膮ki Nowohuckie
艁膮ki Nowohuckie is a fantastic place for a family bike outing. The route through 艁膮ki is sunny, safe, and free from car traffic. It's worth bringing binoculars - the meadows are a habitat for many birds. Along the route, we can take a break in 呕eromski Park, where we will find a renovated playground and plenty of places to relax. Near the Nowa Huta Cultural Center, there is a playground and food trucks with snacks.

3. Along the Rudawa River Embankments from B艂onia to Mydlniki
The Rudawa River embankments offer a fantastic and still very "wild" bike route. You won't feel like you're in the city at all! It has its charms, but also disadvantages - the path is narrow, unpaved, and muddy after rain. We can also take a detour to the nearby Decjusza Park with a new, very interesting playground for children and teenagers. If the round trip is too long for you, you can return by train from Krak贸w Zakliki station. Near the end of the embankments, it is possible to descend to the M艂yn贸wka Kr贸lewska path, which leads back to the city center (passes under Radio Krak贸w).

This is the longest park in Poland! It stretches from Radio Krak贸w to Mydlniki, connecting with the Rudawa River embankments. Families with children who are not afraid of longer bike routes can try making a loop. The route from Radio Krak贸w to Bronowice Ma艂e is an asphalt pedestrian and bike promenade with numerous playgrounds and benches. From Bronowice Ma艂e, the more wild part of the route begins - here we can see the old bed of the M艂yn贸wka stream and learn about its history. Near the end of M艂yn贸wka, there is Krak贸w Zakliki railway station - trains run on the route (Airport - Krak贸w Main Station - Wieliczka).

5. Along the Vistula River Boulevards to Tyniec
The right bank of the Vistula boulevards stretches all the way to Tyniec. Along the way, there is a possible descent to the quarry at Zakrz贸wek and Sa艂ek Twardowskiego. On the route, we pass by the kayak track and a swimming pool on Kolna Street. Currently, the section of the route from the kayak track to Tyniec is closed and leads through a detour - fortunately, the detour is guided by peaceful roads.
