艁膮ki Nowohuckie is a green area in Nowa Huta, which was once the bed of the Vistula River that flowed through here in the 18th century. The remnants of the old riverbed now form a small water reservoir in the Nowa Huta meadows. The meadows are located in close proximity to Central Square and the Wis艂a embankment cycling route. The area is mostly exposed to the sun, with little shade. It is worth bringing binoculars for a walk as the meadows are a habitat for many bird species, including the Eurasian skylark and the corn bunting.
There is a walking and cycling path around the meadows. The paved pedestrian and cycling path running along the embankment in the southern part of the meadows is also accessible to people with disabilities. Along the edge of the ecological area, there is an educational path that presents typical elements of its natural environment.
Route Description
This walking route is perfect for any time of the year, especially in sunny weather. It starts from B-pa Padniewskiego Street towards allotment gardens, and then continues along the paved educational path through 艁膮ki Nowohuckie towards Odm臋towa Street. The entire route can be completed with a stroller or a bicycle (safely, even with a child).
