The Most Beautiful Valleys near Krakow

The Most Beautiful Valleys near Krakow

The white, limestone rocks surrounding Krakow hide many extraordinary trails and paths. Within their nooks and crannies, beautiful valleys, surrounded by rocks, can be found. Many of them are accessible for strollers and bicycles. Which ones are particularly worth seeing? Each of the valleys near Krakow is different and has its own unique charm.

Pr膮dnik Valley in Ojcow

This is the most famous route that runs through the heart of Ojcow National Park. The route is asphalted, stroller and parent-friendly, and offers incredible views. Along the way, you will pass vertical limestone walls and rock gates. There are many resting spots, as well as a farm and a trout fishery in Ojcow. Unfortunately, it can get very crowded here on summer weekends. The valley has two parallel paths - a wide, asphalted one mainly under the sun, and a wide, gravel one, also accessible for strollers, shaded by rocks and trees.

Mnikowska Valley

This is a short but very charming and popular valley, formed by a gorge with steep rocks. At the end of the valley, there is a clearing with picnic tables, a rock altar, and benches. The path along the valley floor is compacted and runs alongside a stream - it is possible to take a stroll with a stroller, although there may be some difficulties.

Kobylanska Valley

This is also a picturesque valley located among high limestone walls. The path through the valley is wild and well-trodden, making it more suitable for hiking. However, you can still reach a spacious clearing in Kobylany with a stroller, where you can spread out a picnic blanket. The valley is quite sunny.

Bolechowicka Valley

Here, too, a massive rock gate at the entrance of the valley makes a strong impression. The valley is accessible by foot, but if you want to have a family picnic, you can reach the gate with a stroller. A small stream runs through the valley, which is a favorite attraction for children. The valley is quite sunny, but the hiking path leads through the forest, providing shade from the trees.

Raclawka Valley and Trout Valley Park

Raclawka Valley offers a wide, compacted path in the dense shade of trees, accessible for strollers and bicycles, stretching for many kilometers. Towards the end, the trail becomes more rugged and suitable for hikers. Near the entrance of the valley, there is also an interesting park with a large playground and a stream called Trout Valley. However, the park is very sunny, so we recommend it more as a place to rest after a forest hike.
