Bolechowicka Valley is one of the shortest, but exceptionally beautiful valleys near Krakow. It is located approximately 15 km from Krakow, towards Zabierz贸w. We enter the valley through an impressive rocky gate. Here, you will find picnic spots, a spacious meadow, and access to a small stream flowing through the valley, where children can happily splash around.
How to get to Bolechowicka Valley?
The best way to reach the valley is by parking your car in the center of Bolechowice village (leaving your car on the streets adjacent to the path may result in a fine). You can also reach the valley from Krakow by suburban buses MPK from Bronowice Ma艂e, line 248 and line 268, bus stop Bolechowice Centrum.
Bolechowicka Valley with a stroller?
The yellow trail leads us through the bottom of the valley. The path is narrow and slightly rocky. With a stroller with inflatable wheels, we can manage to enter the valley, but it will be difficult to navigate through the valley. Therefore, choose to visit with a stroller only if you prioritize a place to rest and have a family picnic over taking a walk.
Route through Bolechowicka Valley
After bypassing the impressive rocky gate, the trail through the valley continues along a narrow, rocky path mostly under the sun. Steep rocky walls rise around us - the valley is a "mecca" for climbers in the Krakow area. During the week, they are the most frequent visitors to this extraordinary place.
After bypassing the steep rocky walls, the path gradually enters the forest, providing quite a bit of shade on a hot day. Towards the end of the valley, you will find a small waterfall of the Bolech贸wka stream. Near the valley, you will find many walking trails through the forest.
