PTTK Shelter on Kud艂acze - so close to Krakow that you can come here for an afternoon family walk, organize a bonfire with friends, and at night... observe the stars! There is a large meadow, beautiful views, a playground, and in the shelter: hot meals, the possibility of accommodation. You can drive almost to the shelter by car, so it is easily accessible for families with strollers and disabled people.

Getting to the Shelter on Kud艂acze Meadow
The easiest way to get to the PTTK Shelter on Kud艂acze Meadow from Zakopane: turn towards Pcim, head south - follow the sign for Kud艂acze. The narrow, winding, but asphalt road leads us almost directly to the shelter. From designated parking lots on private meadows (fee of a few z艂oty per day), we reach the shelter via a black trail in 5-10 minutes. The road is asphalt and concrete slabs - you can even bring a stroller or a disabled person.
How to get to Kud艂acze?
You can get to Kud艂acze... even from Krakow (apparently in about 9 hours - we haven't checked yet...). It will be closer from My艣lenice (11 km via the red trail or 13 km via the green trail through Che艂m - but part of the route can be covered by a ski lift).

PTTK Shelter Kud艂acze - attractions, practical information
- Charming, intimate shelter is a paradise for families with children. On the vast meadow, besides the great space and mountain views, there is a playground and a pen with chickens and ducks.
- In the shelter, there are small souvenirs and simple dishes: soups, pancakes, fritters, grilled sausages. If we have more time, we can buy a "bonfire set" and grill sausages ourselves.
- Organizing a bonfire with friends is worth coordinating with the hosts and reserving a spot. And be sure to stay for an overnight stay (rooms in the main building - shared bathroom, or in a separate building - using the bathroom in the main building.
- For a wider panorama, it is worth going down a few meters on the black trail towards Pcim - here we will find a chain of the Tatra Mountains from the south and the silhouette of Babia G贸ra reigning over the area to the west:
Trails from PTTK Shelters on Kud艂acze Meadow
1. From Polana Kud艂acze, it is worth going through 艁ysina to the astronomical observatory on Lubomir, we have as many as 3 routes, or you can make a loop to Lubomir through Sucha Polana:

2. Through Sucha Polana, we can reach the summit of Kamiennik - about 45 minutes downhill from the shelter via the green trail, on the clearing: AK monument, a place for a bonfire, and crocuses in spring!
Sucha Polana - trails from Por臋ba and Kud艂acze
Sucha Polana on Sucha Pass (710 meters above sea level), near Por臋ba, is a picturesque and peaceful place between the ridges of the Beskid Wyspowy: 艁ysina and Lubomir in the south, and Kamiennik in the north. You can organize a family picnic here, have a bonfire... ...
3. By walking the red trail to the west, we will reach Dzia艂ek, and from there we can either go to 艢liwnik and Che艂m >>> (green signs, about 2.5 hours one way), or to Krzywicka G贸ra (yellow signs, about 1.5 hours one way), or continue walking the red trail to Uklejna (about 2 hours) and further - to My艣lenice.
4. A longer trip will take us even to... Trupielec via Kamiennik:
