Las Wolski - attractions

Las Wolski is a place of contrasts: rugged, wild, and remote paths where even on a sunny weekend, it can be quiet and empty, as well as urban attractions! That's why Las Wolski is a popular place for Krakowians (and others) to enjoy family leisure time.

1. Zoo

This is probably the most important point on the map of Las Wolski - especially for the youngest visitors! Children's favorites are penguins, which have a spacious, glass aquarium in the Krakow Zoo - even the little ones can watch with fascination as these extraordinary birds dive!

What is symbiosis? You may remember from biology class the definition of "the coexistence of different species that is beneficial for both parties", or you may know that symbiosis also refers to "the coexistence of phenomena, cultures, or individuals that mutually influence each other." ...

Las Wolski - meadows for picnics

Las Wolski has numerous picturesque meadows - perfect places for relaxation and picnics (and sledding in winter!). Many of them have gazebos (e.g., Wobra Meadow next to the zoo, Biela艅ska Meadow, Malczewski Meadow, Sowi艅ce Meadow). Remember that if you want to make a bonfire in Las Wolski, you need to report it and obtain permission from the City Greenery Board.

We also highly recommend the newly opened MECH CAFE in the Symbioza Educational Center - supposedly the best coffee in the forest, as well as artisan ice cream and pastries. There is a shaded playground for children near the center:

Getting to know the birds

Las Wolski is a meeting place for wildlife and various bird species. In spring, look for woodpecker nests - you can easily find them because you can hear the continuous chirping coming from them. These are the noisy baby birds demanding food! The poor parents work hard to feed their hungry offspring! There are plenty of woodpeckers in Las Wolski, but you can also encounter buntings, bullfinches, and other birds - it's worth bringing binoculars.
