What is symbiosis?

You may remember from biology class the definition of "the coexistence of different species that is beneficial for both parties", or you may know that symbiosis also refers to "the coexistence of phenomena, cultures, or individuals that mutually influence each other."

YES, but SYMBIOSIS is also a new (and modern) Center for Ecological Education, which not only operates in symbiosis with its surroundings (i.e., Wolski Forest), but more importantly: it will teach us how to live in symbiosis with nature.

"Nature
"Nature's network"... on the ceiling! The symbiosis of tree roots and fungi

To coexist with nature, we must get to know it!

It is difficult for our relationship with nature to resemble symbiosis and for our coexistence to benefit both parties (or at least not harm), if we do not know our partner. Therefore: education comes first!

Modern nature education at CEE SYMBIOSIS

Can we learn about nature in theory, without touching it, without listening to its sounds, without experiencing its taste and smell? Technically yes... but why would we, when we can do it differently?

The exhibition in the two educational halls of CEE Symbiosis represents the world of day and night in Wolski Forest. By exploring it with a guide, we will learn about the richness of the plant and animal world. Various traditional stations (such as wooden puzzle windows, sticking our hands into woodpecker holes) and multimedia stations will help us: for example, a "leaf scanner", numerous interactive presentations, etc.

In the night room, "exploring" takes the form of a game: a group nature investigation with solving a series of tasks and puzzles.

Attention! We might even encounter a storm here! Fortunately, the sun always rises in the end:

The Garden and Surroundings of CEE Symbiosis Building

The historic pre-war building of CEE Symbiosis also features gardens with crops, where we can try herbs and see how the "green roof" of the building is constructed (perhaps afterward, we will want to visit the restroom and... flush the water "from the roof"!).

In the garden, we can also relax on sun loungers and hammocks, rent sports equipment, and there is even a small playground for the youngest visitors.

CEE SYMBIOSIS - Practical Information

Getting there: by car, public transport, or walking through Wolski Forest as if going to the Zoo. At the public transport stop, follow the wide forest road, and you will reach CEE Symbiosis in 5-10 minutes.

The exhibition is located on two levels - it is better to leave the stroller on the terrace, for example.

CEE Symbiosis has a MECH CAFE, where you can find the best coffee in the forest, artisanal ice cream, and cakes.

Toilet facilities are available.

Current workshop offerings tailored to different age groups (from preschoolers to high school students), the possibility of guided tours of the exhibition (about 1.5 hours), nature walks in Wolski Forest, and information about other events can be found on the website symbioza-krakow.pl
