Puck is a small town by the Bay of Gdansk (also known as the Bay of Puck). The history of the town dates back to the Middle Ages, the times of pirates, cormorants and Teutonic Knights. It was also here that the famous 'wedding' of Poland to the sea took place. Should you visit today and why? What can you see and do with kids?
Puck - attractions for kids and more
Puck is a great choice when you want to relax by the water, and at the same time have an alternative for rainy or cooler days. In Puck itself and its immediate surroundings, you will find not only walking routes, but also interesting places worth visiting.
Bathing area and beach in Puck
Let's face it: we come to Puck primarily 'to the sea'. Yes, it might not be the 'open sea', but a bay, which has its advantages: the water is warmer, often calm like in a big lake. We especially liked the fact that there are trees growing on the beach in Puck! On a sunny summer day, we won't feel like we're on a sandy frying pan:
The coast in Puck also includes a port, a marina for yachts and sailboats, water equipment rentals, and nearby a park with walking paths, a rope park, hiking and cycling trails.
From Puck starts, among others, a yellow trail, which along the coast of the Bay of Puck will take us all the way to W艂adys艂awowo (about 11 km), a blue trail - towards the Beka Reserve (about 11 km).

Sailors participate in the outdoor service while remaining on their boats.
At the foot of the church is the port of Puck, and in it a place commemorating Poland's wedding to the sea, a monument to Gen. J. Haller and a bench playing patriotic songs.
If you are interested in the history of the wedding itself, as well as the interwar Puck, be sure to visit the Maritime Air Squadron Museum in Puck. The host here will tell you not only about the backstage of this important event, but above all about the history of seaplanes in Puck.
