East coast

The eastern, "Kashubian" part of the Polish Baltic coast, including the Hel Peninsula, the Bay of Gdansk, the Vistula Spit, and the areas around Ustka, 艁eba and D臋bki, is a region that offers many attractions for children and miles of walking trails, both on the beach and in the coastal forests.

Attractions of the eastern part of the Baltic coast

The biggest attraction is of course the coast itself: wide sandy beaches and the highest Polish moving dunes in the Slowinski National Park.

Walking and cycling routes by the Baltic Sea

The most popular route in the region is the walk to the moving dunes from 艁eba. It's worth taking a walk on the beach or in the coastal forest. Interesting walking trails can also be found a bit further from the coast. We recommend the nature trail on Orzechowska Dune near Ustka or the educational trail in Beka Reserve by the Bay of Puck.

If you want to combine relaxation by the sea with visiting interesting places and monuments, the Bay of Puck and Tri-City region will be perfect for you! Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia, as well as neighboring Puck and a bit further Hel, offer dozens of museums, entertainment and science centers (e.g. Hewelianum in Gdansk), or places important for history enthusiasts (a must-see is Westerplatte!).

PS. A stay by the sea with children is also a great research trip - a little geologist should definitely take a magnifying glass and examine the grains of sand - what secrets are hidden in them? Why are the stones by the sea round and in the mountains angular? And do your kids already know how our Baltic Sea was formed, how amber was formed, what animals live in the sea and by the sea? And can you answer the child's question why the sea is salty?
