The almost 50 m high lookout tower is located in the small town of Orzechowo Morskie, about 4 km from Ustka. It's more than half taller than the lighthouse in Ustka! The tower was built to detect fires in the area.
Entrance to the tower is free. The tower is open from 10-18, but try to be a bit earlier, as new visitors are not admitted about 25 minutes before closing time.
Curved, metal stairs lead to the top of the tower. From the balcony at the top of the tower, there is a view of the surrounding pine forests covering the seaside, with Ustka visible in the distance
Getting there
From Ustka you can get here:
- by bike: via the R10 Velo Baltica bike route,
- On foot through the red trail leading through the pine forest or the beach (when the sea is calm and the waves are small, as the coast is very narrow at times)
- By car, parking near the tower
Nature trail "Orzechowska Dune"
While in Orzechowo, it's worth taking a walk on the "Orzechowska Dune" nature trail - it's a prepared route that leads us through a parabolic, partially stabilized dune via wooden footbridges. There are benches and viewpoints along the route, as well as many educational boards.
