The PTTK Przysłop Shelter is located just below the peak of Barania Góra. There is a road connecting them, which is also a path for 3 trails: red, green, and blue, known as the Habsburg Trail and a nature path. What should tourists know about this route?

From the shelter to Barania Góra
The road from the shelter to Barania Góra is a popular trail. The path is comfortable and wide, but you need to climb a bit (about 260 m), so it will be uphill! Sometimes you walk on loose stones, sometimes on a wooden path called 'dylowanka'.


The Sources of the Vistula on Barania Góra?
Will we find the famous sources of the Vistula while climbing Barania Góra from the shelter? Yes and no. Unfortunately, because these 'springs' are just a wet, marshy area, and a strictly protected reserve, we cannot reach this exact spot. We pass it while crossing the flat area between Wierch Równiański and Wierch Wisełka (where the black trail from Kamesznica joins).

No Dogs Allowed on Barania Góra
The peak of Barania Góra is protected by the Barania Góra Reserve. Additionally, all water streams, which are part of the sources of the Black and White Wisełka, are covered by the Wisła Reserve. Therefore, dogs are not allowed on the trail.

How to Climb Barania Góra with a Dog?
If you want to climb Barania Góra with a dog legally, without breaking the rules of the two reserves, and most importantly, respecting this piece of wild nature and its inhabitants (including rare capercaillies scared by dogs), choose the black trail from Kamesznica (or green + black from Węgierska Górka) - then you will walk not through the reserve, but only along its border for a very short section (about 1 km).
