At the beginning, the blue trail circles Mount Wdżar. If you're not in a hurry, it's worth climbing this scenic peak via the wide visible road, get to know the Gorce Dragon and enjoy the beautiful view of the Tatra Mountains.

Another suggestion might be to drive up to the lifts of the year-round cable car on Wdżar from Kluszkowce side - there are also parking lots here. From here, we can take the cable car up to Wdżar, walk through the picturesque papal gorge, or simply walk along the access road to the restaurant located at Drzyślawa Pass separating Mount Wdżar from Lubań and from here start the blue trail to Lubań.

Drzyślawa Pass - trail to Lubań

After circling Mount Wdżar, the blue trail reaches Drzyślawa Pass. Here we have a beautiful view of the Pieniny, as well as a restaurant and playground.

From here, we head along a wide field road to the southern slopes of Lubań.

Along the way, before we enter the forest, be sure to look back! From behind Mount Wdżar, the picturesque "Tatra crown" will soon appear:

After entering the forest, we have over an hour of climbing, during which we will overcome a height difference of about 350 m. Most of the forest path rises quite calmly, but there are also steeper sections.

Ruins of the shelter under Lubań

An interesting place worth noting during the hike on the blue trail to Lubań are the preserved ruins of a shepherd's hut - the former shelter under Lubań, which burned down just two years after opening (1970s).

Just behind the ruins, the green signs from Grywałd will join our blue trail, it will also get steeper... but the peak is very close!

Spring under Lubań

At the steepest final section of the trail, there's a chance to refresh and cool down at a mountain spring. It's worth using it (drinking water!).

Tent base on Lubań by SKPB from Krakow

After overcoming the steep, forest section, we reach the crossroads of trails and a vast meadow on Lubań. During the summer season (July - August), there is a charming tent base run by the Student Circle of Beskidy Guides from Krakow. Here you can rest, have a coffee or tea.

Lubań - peak and lookout tower

The biggest attraction of Lubań is the lookout tower with a stunning panorama in all 4 directions: Tatra Mountains, Pieniny, Gorce and Beskidy! If you don't feel like climbing the tower, you can also see the Tatra Mountains from its base:
