Alternative Route to Śnieżka
Śnieżka, the highest peak of the Sudetes Mountains, overlooking the area, attracts thousands of tourists from both sides of the border. Most of the trails from the Karpacz side eventually lead us to the main crowded road - the "ceprostrada".
... but how about trying a different approach, from the east, through Czarny Grzbiet? This way:
Jelenka - the Starting Point of the Trail to Śnieżka through Czarny Grzbiet
The first stage of the hike is getting to the Jelenka shelter - easier from the Czech side (from Przełęcz Okraj, about 1.5 hours) or longer: climbing through Sowia Dolina to Sowia Przełęcz, then a 15-20 minute walk along the ridge to the shelter.

Sowia Dolina, Sowia Przełęcz, and Jelenka shelter
If you want to hike to Śnieżka through Czarny Grzbiet, choose the shorter route: it will be faster, very scenic, but not easy...
It's worth resting well at the shelter and gaining a lot of strength, because the first section of the hike will be very demanding!
A steep rocky path leads us first through the forest, then through low alpine vegetation to the summit of Czarna Kopa.
Fortunately, after this difficult section, the path becomes easier and more enjoyable, with the visible destination of our hike ahead:

And now, on the Jubilee Road, also known as the "autostrada - ceprostrada", to the summit! It's uphill, but without rocky stairs, and we will reach the top in 10-15 minutes!
At the Summit of Śnieżka
What awaits us at the summit of Śnieżka? Of course, besides the great satisfaction of conquering the highest peak in the Czech Republic, Sudetes, and the Karkonosze Mountains!
Śnieżka Summit - Attractions, Fun Facts
The highest peak of the Sudetes and Karkonosze Mountains, the highest peak in the Czech Republic, and once a "sacred mountain" in the Giant Mountains. No wonder it holds many secrets! ...
Ps. If you want to approach Śnieżka from Jelenka but avoid the steep steps on the red trail, we recommend the Travers, which is the green trail:
