A Crowd-Free Trip to Śnieżka
A calm and empty path to Śnieżka? Is that possible in the middle of the summer season?
Yes, and if you don't believe it, go on a hike along the green trail, known as Travers.
Jelenka Shelter. The Beginning of the Green Trail
The first stage of the hike will be reaching the Jelenka Shelter - easier from the Czech side (from Przełęcz Okraj, about 1.5 hours), or longer: climbing Sowia Dolina to Sowia Przełęcz, and then a 15-20 minute walk along the ridge to the shelter.

Sowia Dolina, Sowia Przełęcz, and Jelenka shelter
From the shelter, we don't go "with the crowd" on the red trail, but we turn left onto a narrow forest path. This means we choose the longer route at this point:
The green trail ascends slowly along the slopes of Czarna Kopa and Czarny Grzbiet, sometimes quite flat.
After leaving the forest, we will walk through dwarf pine and vast rocky areas - here it will be visible (and felt) that we are ascending.
Along the way, there is a site of a German airplane crash from World War II:
For the youngest ones, a certain difficulty (or maybe an attraction?) may be the "wild" rocky areas without a comfortable paved path. However, they can be treated as an adventure and a stone obstacle course - of course, with necessary caution:
The green trail will lead us right to the cable car. The final stretch to the summit is covered along the cable car route, on the yellow trail (about 1 km distance, around 40 minutes of ascent).
Yes: it is steep here, it is not easy, and we will definitely get tired. However, the rocky steps are lower and more comfortable here than on the Czarny Grzbiet side, and there are far fewer people than on the Jubileuszowa Path from the Polish side.
