Start of the route to Czantoria:

Parking (quite large) by the yellow trail, Jelenica Street:

The start of the route is quite challenging: the path climbs through the forest and only after about an hour we can take a break from constant climbing.

To the top of Mała Czantoria

When we reach the "pile of stones" and the junction with the green trail, the most enjoyable part of the hike begins: soon we will reach a meadow on the ridge of Mała Czantoria, where the yellow trail ends.

NOTE! An unmarked forest path leads to the top of Mała Czantoria. There is a meadow with views at the top.

We continue our journey along the green trail... to another meadow - this time with the upper station of the chairlift (food point).

From the upper station of the chairlift (visible in the background, on the forest line in the photo), beautiful scenic meadows stretch out, which we climb towards the culmination of Wielka Czantoria.

Shelter on Czantoria

From here we walk along the Polish-Czech border to another meadow with a Czech shelter and a Polish food point. (You can pay with Polish zloty at the Czech place).

From the shelter, a wide road leads to the top of Wielka Czantoria, and in about 15 minutes we will be there!

At the top of Wielka Czantoria, there is another small meadow, a small food point, and a viewing tower (entrance fee, crowded and queues in the season...)

Return route:

We descended to Ustroń along the blue trail from the meadow with the shelter: it's a wide, long, stony road. You can also descend along the red trail along the railway to Wielka Czantoria (reportedly a quite steep and rocky route), take the railway down, or return the same way.

If after descending the blue trail we want to return to the starting point (parking at Jelenica Street), it is best to turn left after reaching Akacjowa Street and ask locals for a shortcut through field roads and Drozdów Street.
