Biała Woda Reserve is an easy and beautiful route through a rocky gorge. Here, we can take a walk with a stroller or go for a bike ride. At the end of the trail, there are huts and the opportunity to reach a beautiful viewpoint.
Biała Woda Nature Reserve - Directions and Parking
The trail starts in the town of Jaworki, Biała Woda street, about 8 km from the center of Szczawnica and 2 km from the entrance to Homole Gorge. We can get here by bus or car - there is a paid parking lot (with toilets) right next to the reserve (marked on the map).
Biała Woda Reserve with a Stroller
The trail is easy, the road is wide, paved, and gravelly, with gentle slopes - suitable for strolling with baby strollers (preferably those with inflatable wheels). Along the trail, there are benches, tables, bridges, and information boards.
Rocky Gorge - Biała Woda
The trail leads us through a rocky gorge, which is much quieter than the neighboring Homole Gorge, making it more suitable for a family walk and relaxation. Due to the width of the valley, there is also more sunlight here compared to the narrow and shaded Homole Gorge.
At the bottom of the gorge, there is a stream - Biała Woda, where we can dip our feet, splash around, and throw pebbles during the summer. Undoubtedly, this is one of the most charming corners of the Pieniny Mountains!
Biała Woda - Huts
At the end of the trail, there is a place to rest: benches and tables. In the huts on the meadow, you may come across a demonstration of making oscypek cheese, and you can buy ready-made oscypek from the hosts. During the season, the huts are already on the way, as well as on the meadow above the end of the gorge.
Biała Woda - Rozdziela Pass Viewpoint
When you reach the end of the wide and comfortable road, we highly recommend making a little effort: leave the strollers and bikes at the hut and climb up the field road to the large scenic meadow.
If you reach the end of the yellow trail, which is Rozdziela Pass, on the blue border trail (about 20-30 minutes of climbing from the end of Biała Woda Valley), you will see a beautiful panorama: from the ridge of the Small Pieniny Mountains with Wysoka peak, through the "jagged" top of Trzy Korony, the Grajcarka Valley, the Luban massif, to the summit of Radziejowa (with an observation tower). In the middle, barely visible in the distance, is the queen: Babia Góra.
...and from the scenic Rozdziela Pass above Biała Woda Reserve, we can continue further to Obidza (1 hour and 15 minutes):
