This ship is a piece of great history! Dar Pomorza is open to the public as a museum ship, part of the National Maritime Museum in Gdansk. You can explore it on your own, pay extra for an audio guide, or arrange a tour with a guide (guide.dar.pomorza@nmm.pl).

Across 3 levels, you'll see historic interiors and the ship's historical equipment. You'll learn where the sailors slept and ate, peek into the captain's cabin, the navigator's workplace, and even the engine room.

"Dar Pomorza" and children - Practical Information

  • Exploring the ship will take about 45 minutes.
  • Due to narrow passages and numerous steep stairs and ladders, you can only take a stroller to the upper deck.
  • However, you can explore the ship with a baby in a sling or a carrier (there's a bit more space than on the neighboring ORP B艂yskawica).
  • There are some steep ladder-stairs to climb, but preschoolers and young kids will have no problem exploring Dar Pomorza!

  • A souvenir shop is located at the ticket office
  • Right next to it, at the quay, there's a metal, touchable model of the ship
  • There are numerous dining options nearby, ORP B艂yskawica >>>, Gdynia Aquarium >>> and a city beach with a large playground.
