The educational room presents models of various marine animals - seemingly not very attractive, yet full of curiosities! It's worth getting acquainted with them, for example, do you know why the sunfish is called sunfish in English?

The remaining rooms are typical "aquariums" with live animals. Here you'll encounter dozens of colorful fish, miniature sharks, predatory piranhas and moray eels, anaconda, rays, uglies, sea urchins, seahorses, jellyfish, archerfish - fish that "shoot" at insects, or fish, sharp as razors and fish that can... come out on land!

Touring Gdynia Aquarium - Practical Information

  • The aquarium rooms are quite dark and small, and can get crowded and noisy during the summer season.
  • Visiting with a baby stroller is theoretically possible (provided that the elevators between floors are working), but it might be tight, better to leave the stroller in the cloakroom.
  • Some aquariums are quite high - you'll need to lift the little ones
  • The exit from the aquarium leads through a large gift shop (you can't avoid it...)
  • It's worth using the electronic guides to the Aquarium – separate versions have been prepared for adults and children!
  • In the summer season – a cafe operates on the viewing terrace.
  • The cloakroom only operates from autumn to spring.
  • The tour route is theoretically one-way, but those interested can return to their favorite rooms.
