PTTK Mountain Hut above Wierchomla, located right next to the main ridge of the Jaworzyna Krynicka Range and in the immediate vicinity of the Dwie Doliny ski resort, is a peaceful and atmospheric place with amazing views - including the Tatra Mountains!
Mountain Hut above Wierchomla - Attractions for Children
The mountain hut itself is an extraordinary place welcoming to all tourists: hikers and cyclists, adults and children, two-legged and four-legged. In the buffet, we can order simple hot bar dishes, sweets, and drinks. The youngest guests can use high chairs for feeding and a corner with a changing table.
There is a campfire area and a camping field near the shelter.
...and even the possibility of accommodation in yurts!
Views from the Mountain Hut above Wierchomla
This is, of course, the main attraction of the place! From the vast meadow, there is a wide panorama to the southwest, including the Eliasz贸wka Range, Rogacze, and the queen of the area: Radziejowa. On a clear day, we can also see the sharp peaks of the Tatra Mountains behind them.

How to get to the Mountain Hut above Wierchomla?
The PTTK Mountain Hut above Wierchomla is only 2 km away from the main ridge of the Jaworzyna Krynicka Range and the red trail: the Main Beskid Trail. We can reach it from many different directions - not only from Wierchomla, but also from 呕egiest贸w and 呕egiest贸w-Zdr贸j (via Pusta Wielka), Szczawnik and Muszyna (via Jaworzynka or Bukowa), from the side of Jaworzyna Krynicka and Krynica-Zdr贸j, or from Hala 艁abowska (9 km).
The easiest way to the Mountain Hut above Wierchomla
The easiest way to get here is by using the chairlift from Wierchomla Ma艂a (operating in the winter and summer seasons). From the upper station of the cable car, we only have to walk about 2 km. Moreover, we walk along a flat ridge (with minimal elevation gain) and enjoy beautiful views along the way!
From Jaworzyna Krynicka to the Mountain Hut above Wierchomla
An easy (because downhill), but slightly longer route leads to the mountain hut from the side of Jaworzyna Krynicka. We can reach it via the red ridge trail, and from Runka - the blue trail in about 1.5-2 hours.

The hiking trail from Wierchomla Ma艂a to the mountain hut will take you less than 2 hours. It mainly goes through the forest, uphill, but without difficult steep sections.

For enthusiasts of longer hikes, we recommend routes leading to the PTTK Mountain Hut above Wierchomla via the summit of Pusta Wielka, such as the municipal red trail from Wierchomla Wielka, the black, yellow, and blue trails from 呕egiest贸w, or the yellow + blue and red + blue trails from Szczawnik - these trails, with a length of about 9 km and about 600 m of elevation gain, can be completed in about 3-3.5 hours one way.
