Viewpoints on Koskowa G贸ra
Beautiful views await us already at the Koskowa Chapel, that is, where we can drive by car. However, it's worth going to the very top. Near the relay masts, a view opens to the northwest (呕ywiecki, 艢l膮ski and Ma艂y Beskids).
It's also worth going a little south of the masts, where the actual top of Koskowa G贸ra is located. From the vast meadows, a panorama opens to the east and south. From here you can see the Island Beskids, Gorce and Tatra Mountains.
Koskowa Chapel - interesting facts about the chapel on Koskowa G贸ra
At the end of the story about Koskowa G贸ra, it's worth mentioning the "Koskowa Chapel".
The characteristic, beautifully located chapel dates back to 1910. It was built by Jan Kosek, a forester, who came from the Majd贸wki estate and later lived in the 艁azy hamlet. There is a plaque dedicated to him in the chapel.
The polychromed wooden figure of the Third Fall of Christ located in the chapel has an interesting history. According to legend, it was made for Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, but during transport, the oxen pulling the cart with the figure stopped right here and did not want to go further. As a result, Jan Kosek bought the figure and built a chapel for it. In fact, its author, a folk artist, was inspired by the 18th-century sculpture from the Church of the Third Fall on the Stations of the Cross in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska.
Right next to the large brick chapel, there is also a small wooden chapel of the XIV Station of the Cross, and higher up under the forest: a stone chapel with a cross and a figure of Padre Pio.
