Zakopane - atrakcje, punkty widokowe i szlaki
The city of Zakopane, located at the foot of the Tatra Mountains, is the highest city in Poland (at about 838 meters above sea level) and one of the most touristy places on the map of our country. It originated as a settlement (originally belonging to the king) in the place of seasonal shepherd settlements. It is hard to believe that in 1676 the village had only 43 inhabitants! It was not until the end of the 19th century that Zakopane became a tourist and cultural center - visited by famous figures such as Henryk Sienkiewicz, W艂adys艂aw Orkan, Stefan 呕eromski, Kazimierz Przerwa-Tetmajer, and others.
