The described route is one of the main trails in the Zabierzów Forest - the road here is wide and although it is gravel, it is well-packed. The route has no significant terrain inclines. It is suitable for a peaceful family walk with a stroller (a stroller with inflatable wheels works better on this route) and a family bike trip.
Trail Start
You can enter the trail from Zabierzów or Kleszczów:
In Zabierzów, the entrance starts at the end of Leśna Street, near the radar called Zapałka. There is no official parking here, but people often leave their cars near the radar. Unfortunately, the Leśna Street leading to the forest is not frequently traveled and does not have a sidewalk or bike path, making it very uncomfortable for pedestrians and cyclists to access or commute from the center of Zabierzów.
In Kleszczów, the entrance to the forest is located near Wąwóz Kochanowski Street - very close to the MPK Kleszczów Centrum bus stop - bus line no. 218 from Bronowice Małe stops here. Look for the red bike trail leading up the street already at the bus stop. There is also no official parking at the entrance to the forest, but people often leave their cars here.
Trail Description
The entire trail is a comfortable, wide, gravel path suitable for strollers or bikes, stretching from Kleszczów to the Zapałka radar in Zabierzów. The path is quite shaded in the summer.
