The yellow trail is an alternative to the most popular black trail from Hala Miziowa to the summit of Pilska. It is slightly longer, but along the way, there are some "terrain attractions" (which can be challenging for little ones!). Due to the trail passing through the Pilsko Reserve, dogs are not allowed.

Beginning of the yellow trail to Pilsko from Hala Miziowa

From the PTTK Shelter in Hala Miziowa, we head southeast across the ski slope, passing by a meadow where most tourists climb to the ridge. Then, we proceed towards the forest and a sign indicating the entrance to the Pilsko Reserve.

Yellow trail - difficulties on the trail

Half of the trail goes through the forest, and the other half through dwarf pine. Both sections have challenging parts: high rocks, narrow paths on steep slopes. Younger children will definitely need assistance and support!

Closer to the summit, the path becomes easier as it joins the black trail and leads us through the dwarf pine to the lower peak of Pilska, called G贸ra Pi臋ciu Kopc贸w.

G贸ra Pi臋ciu Kopc贸w, 1534 m above sea level

This is the lower peak of Pilska on the Polish-Slovak border. Near the information board, we will find a box hiding a commemorative stamp. Additionally, through a window in the dwarf pine, we can catch a glimpse of the Queen of the Beskids: Babia G贸ra.

Summit of Pilska, 1557 m above sea level

The highest peak of Pilska is about 400 meters further, on the Slovak side. We can reach it comfortably along a trail marked with green signs.

At the summit, we will be rewarded with a panorama of the Tatra Mountains:

Return to Hala Miziowa - other trails to Pilsko

For the return, we can go back the same way or take the slightly easier black trail. There is also a longer, gentle red trail to choose from:
