Hala Miziowa is a vast and incredibly scenic meadow on the northern slope of Mount Pilsko in the 呕ywiec Beskids. It used to be a grazing area for sheep, but today it is a very popular ski resort and an important hub for hiking trails.
Hala Miziowa and PTTK Shelter - Views and Attractions
The PTTK Shelter on Hala Miziowa is a modern (completely renovated in 2003) and large tourist base that comes alive mainly during the ski season. Throughout the year, it offers warm meals, snacks, drinks, and accommodations (accommodations at the PTTK Shelter on Hala Miziowa >>>). The camping area is located right next to it, on Hala G贸rowa, along the green trail towards Sopotnia.
Apart from visiting the shelter (getting stamps, souvenirs), the main attractions of this place are, of course, the mountain panoramas, especially the majestic silhouette of the Queen of the Beskids: Babia G贸ra, as well as other ranges of the 呕ywiec Beskids.
If you want more views, you can hike up to the ridge above the meadow; you don't have to immediately climb to the summit of Mount Pilsko! By taking the red or black trail, you can reach the border trail and the upper stations of the ski lifts. There, panoramic views of all four sides of the world await you.
The meadows on Hala Miziowa also offer the opportunity to have fun in the water! On a hot day, you will certainly appreciate the cool water of the mountain stream near the "Pod Kopcem" shelter.
How to Get to Hala Miziowa
There are many trails that lead to Hala Miziowa: from Korbiel贸w (green, yellow, or yellow > black > green), the red trail from Prze艂臋cz Glisne, from Sopotnia Wielka (green or yellow > black > green), from the PTTK Shelter on Rysianka (red), or from Z艂atna Huta (black > blue > red).
Cable Car to Hala Miziowa
The easiest way to reach Hala Miziowa is by taking one of the chairlifts. All of them operate during the winter/ski season. In the summer, you can sometimes use the Polana Strugi - Hala Szczawiny chairlift (is the summer chairlift to Hala Szczawiny operating? >>>). In that case, you only have to climb about 200 meters. Please note that animals, sports equipment, and bicycles are not allowed on the chairlift.
Shortest Trail to Hala Miziowa from Korbiel贸w
The green trail follows the ski slopes. Its downside on a hot day is the intense sun exposure, but it is indeed the shortest route, approximately 4 km and 2.5 hours of ascent:

Forest Trail from Korbiel贸w to Hala Miziowa
The yellow trail is slightly longer (about 5 km and 3 hours), but it offers more shade as it passes through the forest:

Hala Miziowa - Loop Trail
The two aforementioned trails (green and yellow from Korbiel贸w) can be combined into a loop: a total of 11 km, around 4 hours in total. We recommend taking the yellow trail for the ascent (more shade) and the green trail for the descent (more views).
Easiest Trail to Hala Miziowa
The trail with the least elevation gain (only 500 meters of elevation difference) to reach Hala Miziowa is the red border trail from Prze艂臋cz Glinne. Additionally, the route is entirely through the forest, providing shade, which is especially important on sunny, hot days.

From Hala Miziowa to Mount Pilsko
While you are at Hala Miziowa, you might consider climbing to the summit of Mount Pilsko. It is definitely worth it, but please note that it is not a short and easy walk:
