The Red Trail from Glinne Pass to Hala Miziowa is not the shortest, but it is the easiest trail to the PTTK Shelter on Hala Miziowa. It only involves a 500-meter difference in altitude (while the trails from Korbielów have a 600-700 meter elevation gain).

Border blue-red trail to Pilsko

The beginning of the trail is a gentle forest road that gradually climbs steeper towards the slopes of Pilsko. The trail is relatively less crowded, the path is rather narrow but well-maintained and without major difficulties. It goes through the forest, so except for late afternoon hours (when we are heading west), we should be walking in shade most of the time.

Along the way, there are no viewpoints or special attractions. We can take a break at the border markers we encounter along the way:

Splitting of the red trail to Hala Miziowa and the blue trail to the summit of Pilsko

The middle section of the trail is definitely the most challenging. After about an hour from entering the trail, the path becomes flatter, indicating that we are about to reach the split between the blue and red trails.

The blue trail continues to climb up to the summit of Pilsko, which takes about 1 more hour from here. The red trail turns right into the forest:

Red trail through Pilsko Reserve

The section of the red trail leading from the state border to Hala Miziowa is a very comfortable and pleasant forest path. It takes us through the wild forest of the Pilsko Reserve. Note: Dogs are not allowed in the reserve! The path ascends very gently, sometimes going straight or even downhill!
