A forest walk in the Makowski Beskid with scenic viewpoints.

Start of the green trail in Skomielna Czarna: the easiest way to get there is by leaving your car in the parking lot near the church (there is also a parking lot near the shop a bit further). Right next to it, you will find a bus stop.

The green trail crosses a stream and turns left, then climbs up a village road between buildings. Soon, we enter a vast meadow that leads us into the forest. If you happen to be here on a sunny day, around noon, it will be the most challenging part of the route (we walk directly "under the sun").

Attraction along the way: several large anthills!

Soon (about 1 hour) from the trail entrance, we will reach a wooded ridge. Here, we will enjoy a pleasant forest walk. Views can only be seen through the gaps between the trees.

The highest point of the route is Stołowa Góra (841 m above sea level). The peak itself is not marked, but it's worth deviating a bit to the meadow on the southern slope: here awaits us a panorama of the distant Tatra Mountains and... tired birch trees from the climb:

Between Stołowa Góra and Groń, there is a scenic meadow called Groń (again, with views of the Tatra Mountains!). On the meadow, there are several buildings and the Chapel-Sanctuary of the Memory of the Soldier's Deed of the Home Army (AK).

From the meadow, it's only 5-10 minutes to the summit of Groń and the intersection of the green trail with the blue trail. The blue trail will lead us to Jabconiówka Pass in less than an hour.

ATTENTION! At one point, after reaching the meadows, the blue markings disappear for a moment... but just follow the dirt road downhill: soon, we will reach the asphalt road. Along the way, there is also a gap with a view of the Queen of the Beskids: Babia Góra.

After reaching the asphalt road, we have about 3 km along the village road to the starting point of the green trail near the church. However, we will be going downhill the whole time, so this less enjoyable part will not take more than 30-40 minutes (unless we stop at a village shop for ice cream!).
