Pogoria III reservoir, located in Dąbrowa Górnicza, is a perfect spot for lovers of active relaxation. It features a sandy beach and a paved path for cycling, rollerblading, or strolling with a pram. The lake was created by flooding inactive sand pits and is now one of the most popular places in the region, both for locals and tourists.

almost the entire circumference of the lake is lined with a paved walking and cycling path, perfect for biking, strolling with a pram, or rollerblading. The only unpleasant part is the section along the busy Zakładowa street - a shared pedestrian and cycling path runs along the road.
the distance from the train station to the Pogoria III bathing area is just over 2 km, there's no bike path
the lake is connected by a bike path to Zielona Park and the second reservoir, Pogoria IV, together they offer many kilometers of paved routes for a safe bike trip with kids

The beach at Pogoria III reservoir is a place where you can relax and enjoy the sun. There's a wooden pier here. You can easily find shaded spots by the lake where you can spread out a picnic blanket. There's a small playground and food outlets - these are bars with fast food options.

Walking and cycling route around the lake

A picturesque, paved walking and cycling path runs around Pogoria III reservoir. The shoreline is 6 km long, which allows for long walks and bike rides with a view of the water. There are also many benches where you can rest. There are many trees along the route providing blissful shade and coolness on a hot summer day. There are numerous viewpoints along the route, offering a beautiful view of the lake and its surroundings.

Unfortunately, the paved bike path does not make a full loop around the lake - part of the route runs along the busy Zakładowa street and although it's not a long section, it's quite unpleasant. This section has a shared sidewalk for pedestrians and cyclists.

Zielona Park in Dąbrowa Górnicza

Near Pogoria III reservoir, there's a vast Zielona Park with a monument of a beaver - the mascot of Dąbrowa Górnicza. We managed to see traces of beavers' activity at Pogoria III reservoir and by the Przemsza river. A safe bike path leads from Pogoria III to the park:
