The Mildest, Easiest, and Shortest Route to Trzy Korony (Three Crowns)
This is the yellow trail that leads from Sromowce Niżne through Wąwóz Szopczański and Przełęcz Szopka (comparatively, the route from Krościenko is also easy). Contrary to appearances and its intimidating appearance, Trzy Korony is not a difficult peak to conquer - the trail is not technically challenging, there are no rocky slippery ascents (like at Sokolica or Wysoka) - for this reason, reaching Trzy Korony is suitable for a trip with children and a baby carrier. Of course, the ascent itself requires some stamina. It is worth noting that there is an entrance fee to climb Trzy Korony (about 6 PLN - this is the entrance fee to Pieniny National Park) and you must have cash with you - it would be silly to find out about this only at the summit.
Starting Point of the Trzy Korony Trail - Getting There and Parking
The yellow trail starts from the flisacka marina in Sromowce Niżne. There is a paid parking lot here, but you can also reach Sromowce Niżne by bike from Szczawnica via the Pienińska Droga.
Sromowce Niżne Pavilion
At the beginning of the trail, we pass by the PTTK pavilion with an interesting free natural exhibition.
PPN Pavilion in Sromowce Niżne
The pavilion is located at the entrance to the yellow trail. It has a covered shelter with tables and chairs, including accessible toilets. ...
PTTK Trzy Korony Shelter
Right at the beginning of the trail, there is a shelter - here we can stop for a morning coffee or breakfast.
Wąwóz Szopczański (Szopczański Gorge)
The start of the trail leads us through a picturesque gorge among steep rocks. The gorge itself is worth seeing! After the gorge, the path enters the forest and starts to climb upwards - we ascend in switchbacks on earth-wooden steps.

Sopczański Gorge and Szopka Pass
Przełęcz Szopka (Szopka Pass)
At the pass, there are benches and the opportunity to rest. From here, there is a 15-minute ascent left to reach Trzy Korony. It will be very similar - a safe path climbing up with wooden platforms.
Trzy Korony (Three Crowns)
The entrance to the viewpoint terrace at the top is subject to an entrance fee - this is the entrance fee to Pieniny National Park. People with a fear of heights may feel uncomfortable, and it is essential to keep a close eye on children and hold their hands - we do not let children climb on the railing!
