Did you know there's a fantastic walking and biking path around the lake in Nowogard?

Nowogard Lake is mainly known for its swimming area and city beach. It's one of the few lakes located almost in the city center, just a 5-minute walk from the Nowogard train station. Trains from Szczecin to Kołobrzeg stop here.

Around the lake, there's a nature trail for walking and biking. Most of it is paved or has well-packed gravel. It's well-maintained and comfortable for both biking and walking with a stroller. The path is safe, with no cars—just forest, fields, and us!

The entire path is about 7 km long, perfect for a bike trip with kids. Along the way, there are several spots for recreation and rest, including a grill area, wooden loungers, playgrounds, and a swimming area. This route is a great alternative to the crowded coastal bike trails, which often run close to cars.

Park and fountain

On the city side, there are well-maintained paved park paths, many benches, and playgrounds. There are wooden piers by the water, although they are a bit neglected. Be sure to check out the historic city walls.

Deer Forest

The other part of the path showcases the nature around Nowogard Lake and is the most charming! It runs through the forest and meadows. You can hear birds rustling and frogs croaking in the tall reeds. There are fewer benches here, but there are occasional rest spots.
