West coast

Can anything bring us - the little ones - more joy than a huge sandbox? The sound of sea waves, the cry of seagulls, soft sand under our feet, and a colorful shovel and bucket in hand...

Attractions of the western part of the Baltic coast

This is primarily Wolin Island, as well as the main resort cities: 艢winouj艣cie, Mi臋dzyzdroje, and Ko艂obrzeg.

Wolin Island

This is the largest island entirely belonging to Poland, located in the westernmost part of the coast. Known seaside towns such as 艢winouj艣cie (a port city) and Mi臋dzyzdroje are located on its territory. The island's attractions include the highest cliffs in Poland, the tallest lighthouse in 艢winouj艣cie, and numerous hiking trails through pine forests. You can also visit a demonstration bison farm, where in addition to a bison family, you will also see deer, roe deer, wild boars, white-tailed eagles, and otters. The island also houses the Slavs and Vikings Center. You can read more about the attractions and hiking trails on Wolin Island in the article below:

Ko艂obrzeg

Ko艂obrzeg is the main resort city of the western Baltic coast. Parents of younger children will find convenient beach access here, laid out with mats for strollers. The city's advantages include miles of promenades, safe bike routes to surrounding towns - the Velo Baltica coastal bike route runs through Ko艂obrzeg, particularly recommended is the Ko艂obrzeg - Ustronie Morskie section, which runs away from car roads and runs right by the beach.

Little explorers of seaside nature

A stay by the sea is also a great research trip - it's worth taking a magnifying glass with you and taking a closer look at the grains of sand - what secrets are hidden in it? Why are the stones by the sea round and in the mountains angular? How was the Baltic Sea created and why is the sea salty?

While at the Baltic Sea, you must climb a lighthouse, eat fresh fish bought at the port, and carry sand and a few shells in your pocket as a souvenir!
