Located near Jaworzno, about 25 km from Katowice and 50 km from Krakow, there is a fantastic bathing area with sandy beaches!
- From Jaworzno Szczakowa railway station, you can reach the reservoir by public transport using line 307, which departs approximately every 20 minutes.
Sosina Reservoir
This artificial lake was created from excavation and sand mining in the area. Two sandy beaches and a guarded bathing area have been established here. The area has recently been renovated and everything is of high quality! The reservoir is surrounded by a forest, and in the middle of it, there is a small island that serves as a reserve for waterfowl. It is a very interesting place for a family vacation.

Bathing Area
Within the reservoir area, there is a guarded bathing area with wooden piers and designated zones, including a shallow area for younger children. There are two large sandy beaches by the reservoir. The water remains shallow for a long distance, and the beaches have plenty of trees and shade. There is a convenient ramp for strollers and disabled individuals to access the beach. There are also many benches and resting areas around. Food trucks mainly offering fast-food, coffee, and beer are available near the bathing area.
Asphalt Path Around the Reservoir
There is an asphalt pedestrian and cycling path that runs around the reservoir, which is perfect for walking with a stroller, biking, or rollerblading. The path is approximately 5 km long and partially shaded by trees. It allows us to reach the more secluded parts of the lake. Along the way, we pass wooden piers that extend into the lake, where we can rest or sunbathe.
