Surrounded by a forest, a picturesque rock formation along the yellow trail from Polana to Słonecznik. It is worth planning a longer stop here, as children treat the rocks as a great rocky playground!
How to get to Pilgrims Rocks?
From Upper Karpacz, below the Wang Temple, we can take the main paved road to Śnieżka to Polana (about 1 hour).
We pass through Polana on the yellow trail and after about 15 minutes of climbing, we reach the rocks.
From the other side of the yellow trail, we can also descend here from Słonecznik (about 30 minutes).
The Pilgrims can also be reached by the Reglami Path - green trail from the Odrodzenie and Przełęcz Sudecka shelter:

The rocks are surrounded by a forest, so in order to see more (e.g. the queen of the area - Śnieżka), we have to climb them - at our own risk.
However, the views from below are also very picturesque!
Pilgrims Rocks - interesting facts
- It is the largest rock formation in the entire Karkonosze Mountains, reaching up to 25 meters in height.
- Characteristic "wind holes" form on the tops of the rocks.
- The name comes from the shapes resembling human figures; they were also called Three Widows, Three Towers, or Three Stones.
- Between Pilgrims and Słonecznik, there is a beautiful "fairytale-like" spruce forest.
