How to get from Kraków to Ojców without a car
Getting to Ojców and Ojców National Park, located only about 20 km from Kraków, is not as easy as it may seem. If you go by car, you should expect crowded paid car parks. If you use public transport, you need to plan the trip carefully.
Getting to Ojców without a car - buses and minibuses
A direct city bus, the recreational line LR0, goes to Ojców only in the summer season, only at weekends, and only when the weather is considered good. You should always check the Kraków MPK public transport website to see if the bus is running on a given weekend. On weekdays, private minibuses go from ul. Kamienna 8 in Kraków. There are a few departures per day. Phone: 502 170 548. Minibuses on the Kraków - Skała - Olkusz route also pass through the Prądnik Valley. They leave, for example, from Nowy Kleparz in Kraków. This route stops at Skała Grodzisko. From there, you must walk about 2.5 km along an asphalt road to the centre of Ojców. It takes about 40 minutes.
Can you get to Ojców National Park by city bus?
The most reliable option is to use regular MPK buses from Kraków to Biały Kościół Murownia, Czajowice, Smardzowice or Skała. From these villages, you still need to walk to Ojców National Park, the Prądnik Valley and Ojców. The walk usually takes about 30-60 minutes.
From Biały Kościół to Ojców
The easiest route starts in Biały Kościół Murownia, which is served by MPK bus line 310. Get off at the Biały Kościół Murownia stop. From the stop, walk about 400 m to the edge of the forest. There is also a paid car park there. A winding paved road leads down to the Prądnik Valley near the Kraków Gate. This route is suitable for strollers and bicycles.

Serpentine Road: to Ojców with a stroller from Murownia
Tip: Instead of the winding paved road from Biały Kościół Murownia, you can also take the yellow hiking trail. This trail is not suitable for strollers or bicycles. After about 3 km, or around 45 minutes, the yellow signs lead through meadows and forest to the Prądnik Valley near the St. Brother Albert care home. From there it is about 1.5 km to the Kraków Gate and about 3 km to the centre of Ojców.
To Ojców from Czajowice
You can get to Czajowice by MPK bus line 310. Get off at the Czajowice Władysława Łokietka stop. This is an on-request stop, so you may need to press the stop button or tell the driver. From the stop, it is almost 2 km to the forest and the border of Ojców National Park. The walk follows a pavement beside an asphalt road and takes about 20-30 minutes. There is also a large paid car park there.
From the car park and the national park border, you can choose the blue trail, which goes through the Ciasne Skałki gorge to the Kraków Gate, or the black trail, which reaches the Prądnik Valley near the trout farm.
You can also combine the black and blue trails into a beautiful and fairly short loop walk.

Smardzowice - Ojców - two routes to choose from
There are two routes from Smardzowice to the Prądnik Valley. Both are marked with red signs of the nature and education path. The northern part leads to the centre of Ojców. The southern part leads to the Smardzowicki Gorge and to a scenic green trail.
The whole path from Smardzowice makes an interesting walking loop in Ojców National Park. You do not need to use the crowded car park in Ojców, and you can even come without a car. MPK bus line 267 goes to Smardzowice from the Krowodrza Górka transport hub in Kraków.

To Ojców from Skała
Skała is a town about 20 km from Kraków, with quite good transport connections. Many minibuses go there from the Kraków railway station area. You can also use Małopolskie Feeder Bus Lines A12 and A13 MLD, or city buses, including MPK line 267 from the Krowodrza Górka tram and bus terminal. From the market square in Skała, you can walk to Ojców by the so-called Wooden Road in less than one hour.

Car parks in Ojców National Park - another way to visit Ojców by car
If you decide to drive to Ojców, it is worth considering alternative car parks. They can help you avoid traffic and crowds in the centre of Ojców, especially in summer and at weekends. Options include:
- Car park on Złota Góra. Paid, with an Ojców National Park parking meter. You can walk to the Prądnik Valley either along the asphalt road or through Sąspówka Valley using the green and yellow trails.
- Car park in Czajowice. Paid, one-time fee. It is about 10 minutes on foot to Łokietek Cave. You can reach the Kraków Gate by the blue trail and the centre of Ojców by the black trail.
- Car park in Biały Kościół Murownia. Paid, one-time fee. You can walk to the Prądnik Valley either by the winding paved road or by the yellow trail.
- Car park in Smardzowice, near the cemetery. It is free. You can walk by the education path to the Prądnik Valley and the green trail, or to the centre of Ojców.
