Are you in the mood for a forest walk around Zawoja? Do you want to bring a stroller or a child's bike but don't feel like walking on sidewalks or along the asphalt road? We recommend the yellow and black trail from Zawoja Czatoża. The trail is about 2 km one way, and you can complete it in about 1 hour.

In Zawoja Czatoża, make sure to notice the charming three stone cellars and a small, colorful chapel near the "Loreto Bell Tower":

Parking is available at the end of the asphalt road - a small parking area near the barrier for a few cars:

We walk along the wide forest road (closed to car traffic) with the yellow trail, and then switch to the black trail, following the Jałowiec stream.

The road is wide and leads through the forest. Initially, we only follow the yellow trail.

After a while, the black trail joins us from the right. When the yellow trail turns left towards the Markowe Szczawiny shelter, we continue on the road following the black markers.

For now, the black trail follows a narrower path parallel to the wide road - if we want, we can stay on the comfortable wide road that leads to the same point: a bridge over the Jałowiec stream.

From there, the black trail climbs steeply to the Jałowiecka Pass - with a stroller, we have to turn back the same way.

PS. As you can see on the map, the trail runs along the border of the Babiogórski National Park, but it actually does not enter its territory. So, if you want, you can also bring your dog for a walk and there is no need to buy admission tickets to the park.

PS. This trail has been included in our article "Around Babia Góra. Trails around Zawoja." Would you like to learn about the others?
