To Czarny Staw (Tenczyński Landscape Park)

Family bike trip in the forest

We have already written about the walking paths in the Forest in Młynka and Borowca Valley, now it's time for a bike trip from Młynka to the forest, Czarny Staw! This route is perfect for a family ride! Comfortable asphalt road, minimal inclines, shade, peace and quiet, picnic by the forest pond, tracking beaver traces! (If you feel like taking a longer trip, you can go from Młynka to Tenczyn Castle in Rudno).

ACCESS: The easiest way to get to Młynka (between Zabierzów and Krzeszowice) is by car (forest parking lot just before the barrier) or alternatively by public transport (Młynka Pętla stop, line 238 from Bronowice Małe).

From the parking lot, we head straight on the asphalt road closed to motor vehicles:

Unfortunately, you will have to cross two roads accessible to cars twice. It is worth reminding children to wait at the barriers.

We will also pass through a forest parking lot (road from Frywałd to the quarry) and railway tracks (access to the quarry).

We continue westwards towards Rudno (those who are interested can continue all the way to the castle!), and on the left side of the road, we will notice a small blue sign "Do ujęcia wody" (To the water intake). At this point, we turn right onto a slightly narrower but comfortable dirt road.

After about 10 minutes, we will reach a small, picturesque Czarny Staw. There are two benches by the pond, but it will be nicer to rest on a large picnic blanket!

Be sure to look for the numerous traces of work by local beavers! With a bit of luck, you might also spot some local duck families!
