The distance between Rewal and Trz臋sacz is so short that you can walk it in less than half an hour. You can walk along the beach or take a shaded and scenic path along the top of the cliff. On a hot day, this path will give you some coolness and a break from the sun.
In Rewal, the entrance to the path is at the end of Szczeci艅ska Street. Turn into the street heading towards the sea.
Although this is a bike route, the path is narrow and can be quite busy during the season. It can be difficult to pass bikes coming from the opposite direction, so we do not recommend taking a small, beginner cyclist on this path.

Most of the route goes through a forest that provides pleasant shade. There are many viewpoints along the way. Near Trz臋sacz, you will pass a large, sunny, high cliff. It is really beautiful!

Cliffs around Rewal and Trz臋sacz
Cliff coasts are steep, rugged sea shores. They are formed by the constant washing away of the shore by waves. The eroded edges collapse and often fall into the sea along with the trees growing on them. On these cliffs, you can see common sea buckthorn, which has long narrow leaves and in autumn, its bushes are covered with orange fruits rich in vitamin C.

Ruins of the church in Trz臋saczu
After about 20 minutes of walking, you will reach the ruins of the church in Trz臋sacz. It was built in the middle of the village, about 2 km from the sea. First, a wooden church was built in 1124, and at the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries, a brick building was erected in its place. Despite the fact that in 1868 the distance to the cliff was 1 meter, services were still held in the church. The last one took place on March 2, 1874. For safety reasons, the church was closed on August 2, 1874. On the night of March 8-9, 1900, the north wall collapsed.

Mermaid monument in Trz臋sacz and the legend of the church ruins
Why is the sea taking the church in Trz臋sacz? According to legend, a mermaid, the daughter of the sea god Pluskon, was brought to the local church after being caught from the sea. However, as a sea creature, the mermaid could not stay on land for too long and grew weak. The sea king struck the shore with waves to get his daughter back.
