Ruins of the Castle in Myślenice

In the past, at the foot of Uklejnia Hill, a trade route from Krakow and Wieliczka to Hungary passed by. The ruins on the hill are remnants of a defensive fortress built here in the 13th century, which was meant to protect the route. Its main feature was a stone guard tower. There are also remains of the former moat, with a drawbridge over it. The entire fortress used to be surrounded by a palisade.
