Loop of the green and yellow-black trail between Upper Karpacz and Borowice.
Parking: There are parking lots available at Wang Temple (paid), a small parking area for a few cars at the entrance of the green trail into the forest in Karpacz, in Borowice near OW Hottur or near the church.
You can start the loop at any point: either Upper Karpacz or Borowice.
The forest paths are shaded (except for a few hundred meters along the road in Karpacz).
The most challenging section is a part of the yellow-black trail that climbs steeply through a forest gorge, and at times, we even walk along a stream.
Two-colored black trail Borowice - Karpacz
Have you ever seen such a "bee-like" trail marking? It is because on old maps, the trail was marked in yellow, but now it is marked in black.
In Borowice, we initially climb a small ski slope, but after a while, we enter the forest.
We will have about 30-40 minutes of uphill hike along the cascades of the Jod艂贸wka stream - it's worth taking a break at the waterfall.
After reaching Droga Chomontowa, the terrain becomes flat:
We reach R贸wienka with a leisurely walk (15 minutes), and after another 10 minutes on the "road to 艢nie偶ka" (in the opposite direction), we arrive at Wang Temple in Upper Karpacz.
Green trail Karpacz - Borowice
We can find the green trail above Wang Temple (from there, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the historic church).
Through the forest, we descend to Karkonoska Street, and after a while, next to "M艂ynek Mi艂o艣ci," we turn left into the forest again.
The green trail will gently lead us to Borowice.
At the asphalt road in Borowice, we turn left - after a while, we will reach the black trail.
Attractions on the route Karpacz - Borowice
Wang Temple - a Norwegian medieval church in Upper Karpacz with a viewpoint overlooking the Jelenia G贸ra Valley, admission fee required.
Jod艂贸wka Waterfall in Borowice - hidden in the forest above Borowice, picturesque cascades and a several-meter-high waterfall.
Other attractions on the route:
M艂ynek Mi艂o艣ci in Karpacz (Karkonoska Street 53) - located at the entrance of the green trail into the forest. It is a place where a real mill used to be. The water had magical properties - if someone of the opposite sex drank a cup of this water, the other person would fall in love with them. Allegedly, the miller's daughter once gave water to the Mountain Spirit to drink. Today, it is only a miniature wooden "mill" in a pond.
In Borowice, you can also visit the group of rocks called Borowickie Ska艂ki and Lapland Village (Lapo艅ska Street 1, visit by appointment).
Shops and gastronomic points on the route:
In Borowice, there is only one grocery store near the Hottur resort.
In Upper Karpacz, there are numerous gastronomic points and shops both near Wang Temple and on Karkonoska Street.
