A short and easy walking route through scenic clearings in the Beskid Wyspowy mountains. The trail goes up and down (and "on flat ground") without steep or demanding climbs. On a clear day, you can also see the Tatra Mountains.
Yellow trail from Rzek to Jasie艅, Skalna Glade, and Kutrzyc臋
We start our hike in Lubomierz-Rzeki at the PKS bus stop (free parking in a large bay).
If you want an easier and shorter option, you can drive to the hamlet of Przys艂opek and leave your car at the pass (space for a few cars) - this will shorten the described route by about half, skipping the section through Myszyca.
Myszyca: the beginning of the yellow trail from Lubomierz-Rzeki
The first stage of our hike is crossing Myszyca, a hill between Lubomierz-Rzeki and Przys艂opek Pass.
Initially, we walk along an asphalt road, which soon turns into a dirt and forest road.
We climb along a vast clearing - it will be a fairly steep, narrow, forest path (probably the most challenging part of the whole route):
...fortunately, the path is short and ends with the first scenic clearing:
From this point on, we descend to the pass, the road is wide and comfortable. However, be careful at the intersections of forest roads and follow the yellow signs! Not all turns are clearly marked!
Przys艂opek Pass and the yellow trail to Jasie艅
Przys艂opek Pass offers more beautiful views.
From the south: you can see Mogielica (with Stumorgowa Glade and an observation tower on the summit). From the meadow on the opposite side of the pass, you can spot Babi膮 G贸ra and Lubie艅 to the west, and quite "close" to the south: Gorc (the one with the observation tower).
The yellow trail climbs through the forest, but it's quite gentle. Moreover, more clearings await us.
Soon, the green trail from 艁臋towe will join us - which means that the summit of Jasie艅 is very close!
Beskid Wyspowy: Jasie艅, Skalna Glade, and Kutrzyc臋
From the summit of Jasie艅, take the yellow trail down to Kutrzyc臋 and Skalna Glade.
Here, you will find a small chapel and a very expansive scenic clearing. In the foreground, you can see Magurki and Gorc with their observation towers, and on the right: the Tatra Mountains.
Return route from Skalna Glade
If you have plenty of time (and energy!), you can continue on the yellow trail from Skalna Glade to Stumorgowa Glade below Mogielica. This will involve a lot of ascent and descent and take about 4 hours round trip (Kutrzyc臋 - Stumorgowa Glade - Kutrzyc臋).
If not, you can return the same way. It will be mostly downhill, so a bit faster: it will take about 1.5 hours to return to Lubomierz-Rzeki.
Another trail to Jasie艅, Skalna Glade, and Kutrzyc臋
You can also reach Jasie艅, Skalna Glade, and Kutrzyc臋 via the green trail from P贸艂rzeczki, the green trail from Szczawa Bia艂a, or, for a change... also the green trail from 艁臋towe. This route will have more forest, and therefore more shade:
