The trail connecting the shelters on Hala Boracza and Lipowska is an alternative route to the popular yellow trail through Hala Redykalna and Bieguńska. Compared to it, this trail is less frequented, less scenic, but more shaded and peaceful.

Green trail from Hala Boracza to Hala Lipowska

The most popular and wide path leads from Hala Boracza to Hala Lipowska through the black trail to Hala Redykalna and further on the yellow trail through Hala Bieguńska. The green trail has a similar length and difficulty level, and it will also take us about 2 hours (uphill) or 1 hour and 30 minutes (downhill) to complete. How is it different? Why and when should we choose it?

The trail leads through the northern, forested slopes. Therefore, we will have more shade here (which can be important on a sunny, hot day). However, there will be fewer viewpoints: we won't see the Tatra Mountains or any of the picturesque Slovak ranges from here.

In a few "windows," we will, however, catch a glimpse of the gentle sea of Beskid ridges:

When choosing the green trail, let's note that in some places, the path is very narrow - in rain or after heavy rainfall, it can be slippery and even dangerous. However, this "difficulty" has a certain advantage: even during the season and on weekends, it is rather empty, quiet, and peaceful here - quads or off-road vehicles will certainly not pass through!

The green trail from Hala Lipowska to Hala Boracza is also worth considering when you don't want to return the same way. In that case, for example, you can ascend to Hala Lipowska via the scenic trail through Hala Redykalna and descend via the green trail, or vice versa.
