From Bronowice to the Cross under Lipka
Town: Kraków
The walk from Bronowice Małe to the "Pod Lipką" cross is a short but very charming walking route. Although it is still in Kraków, the path takes us through fields, making us feel like we're in the countryside. The dirt road gently goes uphill towards the wooden cross, offering a view of Kraków below. It's worth bringing a blanket and some snacks as it's a great place for a family picnic.
- "Pod Lipką" cross is an interesting viewpoint of Kraków
- On the route, there are 2 playgrounds, and one of them has a small pastry shop with ice cream, pastries, and takeaway coffee
- The walking route is located near the Bronowice Małe tram loop
We start the route at the beginning of Pod Strzechą street and walk all the way up. After the church, the street turns into a dirt road that goes slightly uphill - that's the path we follow.

Bronowice Małe - traces of an old village
Bronowice Małe used to be an old village near Kraków that belonged to the possessions of the Mariacki Church. There were wooden cottages with thatched roofs here - hence the commemorative name of the "Pod Strzechą" street. Right next to the playground on Pod Strzechą street, we can see a former village forge partly built with river stones.

Rydlówka
If we have some extra time, it's worth visiting Rydlówka - a manor house where a famous wedding took place, described by Stanisław Wyspiański in his play. This wedding made the small village near Kraków famous throughout Poland! The museum occupies the 3 oldest rooms of Rydlówka - the ones where the wedding guests danced. Here, we can see beautiful wedding chests, among other things.

Playground and former ponds
Where the playground is now located used to be the center of the village - there used to be large ponds where horses were bathed. Right next to the ponds, there was a well from which the entire village drew water.

Pod Lipką Cross
This is an interesting viewpoint of Kraków below - from here, you can see the Mariacki Church and the Wawel Castle, Kościuszko Mound, Wolski Forest, and, on clear days, even mountains in the distance. It's a great place for a family picnic.

Ever-changing landscape
Depending on the season and the type of crops planted, the landscape along the route changes dramatically - that's why you can rediscover it multiple times.
