Start of the Blue Trail - Walowa Góra Street in Zakopane
The Blue Trail to Gubałówka starts at the very end of Krupówki, near the lower station of the Gubałówka funicular. You need to turn a bit to the right and reach Walowa Góra street. The street is a narrow, rocky road initially between buildings, but soon you pass individual houses. It is immediately quiet and peaceful here. We were greeted by a herd of sheep grazing in the shade.

Clearing at Walowa Góra
You quickly reach a clearing with a view of the Tatra Mountains - you can see the peaks of the High Tatras: Hawrań and Murań. In front of you, in all its majestic glory, is the silhouette of the sleeping knight, and you can also see Kasprowy Wierch and the cable car leading to its top and its upper station. The entrances to the Tatra valleys: Strążyska and Biały Potok, and Sarnia Skała located between them, also catch the eye.

Ascent to Gubałówka
You gain height mainly by walking a steep path through the forest. The roots of the spruces growing here create interesting 'stairs'.

To reach the very top of Gubałówka, you walk along a road without a sidewalk... Outside the season, traffic was light here, but during the season it might be less pleasant...

Gubałówka (1,126 m above sea level)
This is one of the most beautiful viewpoints of the Tatra Mountains and Zakopane, which is why it is the most visited mountain in Poland. At the very top, you will find many viewing terraces, deck chairs, cafes - you will probably also see grazing sheep!
