Start of the walking route through the Black Creek Valley in Ryman贸w Zdr贸j
You can start your walk anywhere in Ryman贸w Zdr贸j. First, you need to reach the Spa Park and follow the paths up the Tabor river, which is to the south. You can also drive to the parking lot at the entrance to the valley (intersection of Zdrojowa and Wyspia艅skiego streets). A second, forest parking lot can also be found deeper in the valley, at the border of the traffic ban.
Black Creek Valley - a walking path for everyone!
The paved surface of the path in the Black Creek Valley makes it accessible to everyone and in all weather conditions. Most of the path is even illuminated by lamps. You can rest on numerous benches and also under roofed shelters.
During the walk, we are accompanied by signs of the red trail. Did you know that this is the longest long-distance trail in Poland, about 500 km long, leading from Wo艂osate in the Bieszczady Mountains to Ustro艅 in the Silesian Beskids?
Educational trail - Black Creek Valley
An additional attraction during a walk through the Black Creek Valley are numerous educational boards where you can find interesting facts about the forest and its inhabitants.
Crocus Spring, Crocus Meadow and St. Hubert's chapel
Just before reaching the Crocus Meadow, red signs turn right towards Wo艂tuszowa, a former Lemko village (this path is not suitable for strollers).
Meanwhile, a wide beaten path leads us to a bridge over a stream and a vast meadow with a shelter, tables, outdoor gym and more educational boards.
There is also a descent to the water (useful on a hot day!):
Do crocuses bloom at the Crocus Meadow by the Crocus Spring in spring? Unfortunately, we don't know as we arrived here too early... If you managed to see them, let us know! Meanwhile, we've heard that there is an exceptionally high amount of iodine near the Crocus Spring - all the more reason to stay here longer!
A bit further in the Black Creek Valley, you'll find the chapel of St. Hubert, a place for feeding animals, and a meadow with a so-called forest education school.
P.S. If you also didn't manage to see crocuses at the Crocus Meadow in Ryman贸w Zdr贸j, we have some interesting facts about the saffron crocus and a crocus coloring page to cheer you up:
