Skolnity is a hub of many attractions in the Silesian Beskids Mountains (southern Poland). It is not only a ski and bike area with a year-round chairlift, but also a new observation tower with a treetop walk opened in December 2025, called the "Roof of Wisla". Why go here, what views can you see, and what extra attractions are waiting?
Skolnity Ski & Bike Park in Wisla
In the center of Wisla (right next to the PKP train station, the bus station, and the main promenade) you will find a place full of attractions for the whole family. The year-round chairlift serves skiers in winter, and in summer it takes mountain bikers to trails with different levels of difficulty.
Attractions at the Skolnity upper station
Before you ride down from the upper station on skis or by bike, it is worth stopping here for a moment—or even longer! First, look from Wierch Skolnity over Wisla from above. Can you spot the town’s landmarks and the surrounding Beskids peaks?
Views from the Skolnity tower and treetop walk
Even better views wait for you from the treetop walk and the top terrace of the observation tower, called the "Roof of Wisla". The tower is 38 m high, and the path leading to it is almost 1,300 m long. On the way up you will find fun stops: a hand-shaped viewpoint, a mini sky-walk, and several stations on an educational trail.
From the top terrace you get a panorama in all four directions—so not only Wisla, but the whole Silesian Beskids is at your feet! There is plenty of space: benches, viewing telescopes, and boards with the names of visible peaks.
Wierch Skolnity - what else is on the summit?
More attractions here include a brine inhalation tower (salt-air) with a view of the Wisla valley, and an outdoor sculpture gallery with a giant axe. You can rest and eat in the mountain tavern, and buy souvenirs in the shop next to the tower entrance.
Wisla Skolnity - attractions for children
The upper station of Skolnity Ski & Bike Park in Wisla is full of things for kids who want "something more" than views. They will enjoy a playground with unusual attractions and a small animal pen (2 llamas and a donkey).
While walking up the tower, children will like the interactive stops on the educational trail along the treetop walk (soon you will be able to collect points here and win a prize!).
If you prefer a physical challenge, you can shorten the way up using two rope and hanging-bridge shortcuts.
