The Kornel Makuszyński Museum in Zakopane is worth a visit for all ages, whether you already know and love the work of the creator of Koziołek Matołek or you are discovering it here for the first time.

What will you see at the Kornel Makuszyński Museum?
The recently renovated Kornel Makuszyński Museum, a branch of the Tatra Museum, is located in the historic Villa Opolanka in Zakopane. This was once the writer’s home in the town. Today you can see mementos of the famous resident (for example his school certificate, manuscripts, and everyday items) and visit several pre-war rooms.

In the room devoted to Kornel Makuszyński’s works, you will meet well-known book characters and discover new figures and stories.

The last room is dedicated to other famous people from the world of literature and art who are connected with Zakopane:
