Excavations conducted at the beginning of the 21st century confirmed that in Lubin there was a large and strong medieval fortress. You can read and see what exactly archaeologists found here on numerous information boards.

The visible remains of the fortress are the uncovered foundations of a residential tower and the relics of a 12th-century church.

By car (parking near the church, or a bit further, at the entrance to Zielonka Hill - about 1.5 km from the fortress), by bike, or on foot - for example, by the blue trail from Międzyzdroje (about 9 km) or from Wolin (about 14 km).
