The history of the castle, located on a hill above Lake Czorsztyn, dates back to the 14th century.
During the times when the Dunajec River marked the Polish-Hungarian border, the Dunajec Castle in Niedzica was a Hungarian fortress, while the castle in Czorsztyn belonged to the Poles.

Several themed exhibitions are arranged in various chambers, such as the castle bedroom with a combined chair-toilet, a knight's dining room, the salon of the castle's last owners from the early 20th century, and a torture chamber. There are also exhibitions related to the castle's history:
Courtyard
In the castle courtyard, there is a terrace with a view of Lake Czorsztyn. In the upper castle courtyard, you can see the legendary Bolesław and Brunhilda 60-meter well carved into the rock. Many films were also shot here, including the TV series Janosik and Wakacje z duchami based on Adam Bahdaj's novels.

- Due to the numerous stairs, visiting the castle is impossible for strollers, no difficulties for parents with a baby in a carrier
